My name’s Amber, and I’ve been doing photography for 9 years — and somehow, I fall more in love with it every single day.
Before photography, I spent nearly a decade teaching and loving on students with special needs. In 2016, life threw me some hard moments, and I picked up a camera as a way to cope. What started as a creative outlet quickly turned into something I couldn’t give only half of myself to. After five years of hustling on the side, I finally took the leap and left teaching to pursue photography full-time — and it’s been the most rewarding decision I’ve ever made.
I specialize in weddings and couples, but really — I specialize in emotion. It’s never been about just “taking pictures.” My goal is to capture you exactly as you are — real, raw, and imperfectly beautiful — because that’s where the magic lives.

“Why did you choose the name Because I AM Photography?”
I have struggled with my body image and insecurities, my entire life. It played into my mental health somewhere along the way. The thing is — SO many of us struggle with this exact thing.
We don’t like our smiles.
We don’t like our weight.
We don’t like how our hair looks.
We don’t like our cellulite.
We don’t like our stretch marks.
And the list goes on…
Oddly enough, my own insecurities are what pushed me to decide on my business name. I LOVE empowering others and to think that I could take beautiful photos for other people who don’t feel good about how they look, was a challenge and a goal!!
